Hop the gap and during the feral lunge tutorial grab the sentinel observer. Some places only require you to jump (not lunge) across a gap. Upgraded characters will have an easier time to go through the game on Elite. If the enemies are too tough, make sure to change your difficulty to something easier. Notice how the fence will change color to yellow to show you that you can interact with (or break) the object. This trains you to use the smell-o-vision (Feral sense).
